Danielle Arets is shaping the future of journalism through design research, industry exchange and tinkering with technology. Danielle is associate Reader Strategic Creativity at Design Academy Eindhoven & Reader Journalism and innovation at Fontys journalism school in Tilburg.

Danielle has a background in philosophy & Science & Technologie studies (Maastricht University) media studies (Aarhus University (Denmark) & design research (Design Academy Eindhoven (research lab Strategic Creativity) .
Danielle is heading the research minor Crafting Narratives; a collaboration between DAE & Dutch broadcaster VPRO; where she investigates technology trends and prototypes future concepts for content delivery.
She also runs the research minor Radical Ecologies - a collaboration between Mozilla and Quicksand (Bengalore/ India) where she is looking into 'the human' in smart systems .
Together with De Utrechtse Internet Courant (largest online local newspaper in the Netherlands) and tech company Milvum she is currently looking into blockchain as factchecker & artificial intellengence as a tool to create a more pluriform media landscape.
